1. Knowledge
Factors
affecting the growth of plants
There
are 4 main factors that can affect the growth of your
plants. They are water, light, nutrients, and temperature.
1)
Water helps dissolve minerals in the soil. Transports minerals to different
parts of plants. And reduce the heat in the plant.
2)
Minerals are essential for plant growth. The minerals are
in the soil. Help in exuberance
3)
Air Plants must breathe like humans and animals. Plants
use oxygen to breathe. And use carbon dioxide to create food.
4)
Light Plants need light to create nutrients. For
use in growth. Most of the light comes from the sun.
5)
Temperature affects the breathing of plants If the temperature is high, the plant
will breathing fast, slower growth.
6)
Artificial light the effect of light on plant life has greater intensity of color
during, and more rapid ripening of fruit. and that the flowers, if produced,
have in general a fainter shade of color.

that people, animals and plants are growing the same or
not?
(Answers : same /not
same)
1.1.2 What are the factors affecting the growth of
human, animals and plants?
(Answers : People and animals need food, water and air. Plants need water,
minerals, air and light.)
Step 2 :
Learning to Search
2.1 Teachers
give the document about factors affecting the growth of plants to all students.
2.2 Teachers use technology media. Include Microsoft
office Power Point, Computer and Overhead Projector (TV) for teaching and explanation.
Step 3 : Learning to Construct
3.1 Students are divided class into 6 groups.
3.2 Each
group discusses factors affecting the growth of plants.

Group 3 : Air
Group 4 : Natural light
Group 5
: Temperature
Group 6
: Artificial light
Step 4 : Learning to Communicate
4.1 Each
group sends out representatives in front of the class to write their answers on
the board and present their work.
Step 5 : Learning to Service
5.1 Teacher answers with explanations. Discuss with students
the benefits of learning about factors affecting the growth of plants. With the following questions:
